[Informatics] A moderator's request about replies and new threads

Hi everyone.
When you have something to say on a topic that has been posted, by all
means reply to the message to which your reply applies.
If you are posting on a *brand new topic*, please don't write it as reply
to the last random message you read. Please post a new message with a *new
subject line*.
Replying to an irrelevant topic will mean your new message will be lost in
the depths of the other thread, and its irrelevance will only pollute and
confuse the thread it was posted to.
I've recently seen some threads discussing three or four topics begun in
other unrelated threads.
