I suggested OSIA might want to submit something.
It's late... but better late than never right?

Donna (and everyone else who commented on this) will no doubt be pleased
to hear that the OSIA Board has heeded your call.
The Board, in a quick flurry of emails exchanged late on Friday night,
agreed to lodge a late submission.
Over the weekend, we have worked up a more formal & more comprehensive
submission, based on the ideas in my post to the members list on
Thursday night.
The submission was lodged with ACARA at around 11:30 this evening
(Adelaide time) and we can only hope and trust that they will consider
it, notwithstanding the missed deadline.
I've attached a copy of the OSIA submission to this post, and a copy
will be uploaded to the OSIA website some time tomorrow.
Thankyou to Donna, Andrew, Daniel, Don, Carl, Bob & Aimee Maree for your
support (without which this simply wouldn't have happened).
And a special thankyou to fellow OSIA Director Daniel Jitnah for giving
up part of his weekend to help me develop my initial thoughts into a
more robust OSIA submission.
Now that OSIA is involved in the consultation process, I believe it will
be crucial for us to lodge a further response when ACARA reaches Phase 3
(which is to include the "Technologies" learning area).
For those of you following ACARA's progress, please help the OSIA Board
out by alerting us as soon as you notice the Phase 3 consultation period
opening.
When that time comes, it would be good to bring a group of interested
OSIA members together to draft our Phase 3 submission collaboratively,
with enough time to spare to allow for more thorough analysis &
subsequent review.
Regards,
