[Cisco] Enrolment advice for 2009

Hi Kevork,
I had a helpful quick meeting with Ken Oakley.
In my case (Discovery 1 and 2 only) it appears that these 2 units are already mapped across to a Cert 2 in Shared Technology. VASS codes exist for the Cisco units and also for the competency unit. If I was doing Discov 3 and 4 it would be a different issue.
Thank you for your reply. Ken also felt that this helped because there is a consistent picture emerging.
All the best for 2009.
Bruce

Subject: [Cisco] Enrolment advice for 2009

Hi folks,

The following is from Daryl Sutton from the VCAA VET unit:

Re CISCO. I received information from Box Hill on Friday. They have
mapped existing units from the Cert IV Shared Technology against
Discovery and Exploration, they have also written 5 new units to map
against the 2 CISCO's. These new units are to go the VRQA for inclusion
in the Cert IV Shared Tech. Once we have a code for these we will set
them up on the VASS system under CISCO Discovery and Exploration and
notify schools.
In the mean time only continuing students can be enrolled onto VASS. New
students should not be enrolled at this stage. We know that it is a bit
messy but we will work to clean up enrolments after we have set up the
new Discovery and Exploration on VASS.
We want to ensure that all students will be entitled to their maximum
credit ie. 2 3 - 4 sequences at the end of their CISCO training.

Kind Regards
