[Busmanagers] Purchase Orders

Karen,

My parent groups have a designated person who requests a purchase order
from the office. Prior to the orders when they have their meetings they
usually are aware of what activity or working bee is coming up and they
have to inform me and/or the principal by email that they will require a
purchase order for so and so. This seems to be working so far. They then
have to return the invoice to the office and sign it off before I attach
it to the green copy. They are not permitted to just turn up and request
an order. Not unless it is for urgent works etc.

I am seeking information on how other schools handle Purchase orders for
Parent Groups that want to purchase things for fundraising, craft group
etc.  Does anyone give a designated person a purchase order or is it all
done from the office and faxed through to the place of purchase?  I am
having issues with groups requesting purchase orders.

Yes, Jenny, I did it about a month or so ago. I downloaded the form from
SmartSalary, asked the staff member to complete it and then fax it off.
It's all done through SmartSalary who advise DE&CCD to adjust her pay.
