The policy and practice changed from 1 January this year.   From that
date teaching practice is only paid on HRMS.

We have been told we have to pay the teachers through a lump sum Special
Payment on HRMS!!!!!

Yes the funds should be receipted as G01. When paying the teacher
concerned this should be done through local payroll with the completion
of TFN declaration and a payment summary issued at the end of the
financial year. The payment should not be made through GL or AP.

Hi Diana

I receipted it as G01 (inclusive) - it shows the GST amount on the
accompanying invoice.  The teacher is then paid the GST exclusive amount
- the same as when it was done on local payroll.

I hope this is not a silly question!!  When the money comes to us from
the Uni's how do we code the GST and I presume we pay the teachers the
amount before GST
