Hi

At the last Business Managers Finance Group a rep from COMMBIZ came and
spoke to us regarding the changes from Quickline and Netbank to Commbiz
which in=s the new CBA online business banking service which operates in
real time.

The establishment fee has been waived for clients already on Quickline.
I understand that the CBA are working with DoE in the hope that all
schools that move to Commbiz will have the establishment fee and direct
credit/debit fees waived. 

The initial cost of a security token is $27.50 per token, and you would
need 2 as you would have 2 signatories per cheque. The ongoing cost of a
security token is $5.50 per month. This is if you are going to do
transactions through commbiz like you did in Quickline eg. Payments by
direct credit to creditors and direct deposit payroll.

The cost of direct credit/debit is currently 20c per transaction.(maybe
waived after further discussion)  Transfers between your CBA bank
accounts have no charge.

My understanding is If you wish to have read only to get your
statements, you would not have ongoing fees.

We currently pay Quicklime charges now, and for the small cost of
banking I prefer to be able to do the online banking for the
convenience.

I spoke to Cora Petralito in at the Finance Dept of DoE yesterday and
she informed me that there will be more DoE guidelines available soon
regarding electronic payments and internet banking to assist us with our
internal process given that the auditors are cracking down on internet
banking without the security of 2 signatories.

Quickline is no longer available as of 1st Jan 07. All schools will have
to change to Commbiz. I have been told that it is expensive to set up
and run if you are paying only a few cheques , it might not be worth
your while.

I also would be interested in feedback on both systems, as I was
previously advised that Quickline would be superseded by Commbiz, though
it would appear that both systems are still in use. I only have a 3-4
local payroll staff (still paid by cheque) and was wanting to pay them
via Quickline early last year, but was advised to wait until Commbiz was
in use, so any info would be greatly appreciated.
