[Busmanagers] Franking Machine

I have just spoken to the company that services our machine and he has
not heard of Aust Post phasing out Franking Machines however what we
have here is a Meter machine, not a franking machine (you have to take
them to the PO to refill when money runs out, our machine we can do down
the telephone line)

The fellow I spoke to wasn't surprised to hear GBC was making this
claim, he said they have done it before to encourage people to trade
their Franking machines in for the newer model.  

I would ring Aust Post and clarify it with them re the franking machine

A few weeks ago someone put a message up regarding a phone call they
received saying that franking machines are being phased out. 

We have received a phone call earlier today from GBC and they have told
us the same thing and that Australia Post will no longer receive our
mail. I believe this is a scam.

 

Could someone else that also had the same experience please confirm what
the outcome was, I seem to recall that this was not true.
