Dear Helen,

Please pass on my appreciation to John and yourself for making the time
to attend last week's meeting with Pat. She will be a useful resource
person for us and she is tenacious in assisting us to record and
document our progress.

Yesterday I had an extremely fruitful meeting with Kate, to the extent
where we discussed the Wednesday inclusion class to some depth. Her
suggestion was to begin with several groups (6-7), plan an activity and
each staff member rotate their group to experience each activity. We
didn't get as far as the activities, here's my brainstorming list.

*	"Get to know our fruits"
*	"Get to know our vegetables"
*	Plan and prepare our vegetable patch.
*	"Get to know garden tools and how to use them safely"
*	What we can plant and when
*	A simple kitchen activity
*	Using the internet to support what we need to know
*	Using the Library to support what we need to know

My feedback on your resource list to support student learning.

The first resource.

To me our biggest challenge is to include drippers, hoses etc. Wouldn't
it be great if Rotary would pitch in here. If that fails I could
approach The Liberty Church for labour and some willing parents.

Have you parents that could help us with labour etc?

Item Two: Tools. We have:

*	3 Wheelbarrows (I could use your handyman to blow up a few tyres
on the wheelbarrows)

*	3-4 Garden forks and shovels

*	Enough trowels and garden gloves for each child (even give them
their own pair of garden gloves etc)

*	Kitchen gear, the basics all that you had on the list

Class Room Garden Resources

*	Our Library has quite a few good books etc e.g. Yates Garden
Guide.

Be in touch, like you I think this concept has a great opportunity to
grow.

Enjoy the weekend.

Cheers

Heather

P.S. Helen, Divine Intervention as I write this I have a gentleman
from Bulleen Baptist who has committed his time and about 5-6 other men
to help us. He is ready to wait our instructions!
