Hi Chris
I for one find HRWeb a wonderful tool but points 5 and 6 relate to me at times, but have added always to point 6 as sometimes it’s not a problem.
5. need reassurance that your understanding is correct
6. don’t always have time to look

Subject: [Busmanagers] HR Policy and Procedure Questions
Hi all
The primary reason for my request to be part of this mail list was so that I could gain some insight into the issues, problems and questions from business managers and SSOs, particularly with concern to HR/Personnel responsibilities. One of the things that I have noticed over time is that questions are asked where the answer/information is available on HRWeb. (I also have the feeling that the number of such questions is increasing, but that might just be me.) I am very keen to understand why this might be so. Is it because?
1. it’s too hard to find the answers on HRWeb
2. the information is not clear enough
3. need reassurance that your understanding is correct
4. don’t have time to look
5. don’t have the required skills
6. all the above
7. some other reason/s
Answers to the above is important to me at this time because we are in the early stages of a review of HRWeb with the aim of improving it to better meet the requirements of the various user groups (managers/administrators, employees, potential employees). Please feel free to contact me directly (email or phone) with your comments, complaints or suggestions. If you have any tips or tricks
I feel that the insight I gain from the exchange of emails is invaluable in helping me better support all business managers and SSOs as my main responsibility is for HR communications, which includes being site manager for HRWeb and the editor of HRM Online. If I can also occasionally help out by answering questions, clarifying or (even rarer) correcting information that is posted, then hopefully that is to the advantage of us all too.
