Normally it wouldn't really matter because of the payment of unused
recreation leave. If they resign the first day of the term then they
will have to use their recreation leave to cover their absence over the
school holidays.  If they resign at the end of term then they would
receive payment for the unused recreation leave.

 

With term one this year however, there is a SSO pay increase on 1 April
so resigning after the holidays means a little bit more pay.

Does anyone know if an SSO resigned as from 2nd term, would the date
need to be 16 April (1st day of term 2) or 30 March (last day of term
1)?
