[Busmanagers] Reversing a family unallocated receipt

Good morning everyone,
Can someone please confirm that this advice I received from the help
desk is correct as it contravenes the manual.
I entered and processed an unallocated receipt (eftpos) on 30th Jan for
$322.
On 31st Jan I was asked for a refund of $200 which I did by eftpos also.
Can I reverse the unallocated receipt in full and then enter a new
receipt for $122 - or do I do as advised by the help desk.
I was advised that I could do the reversal for the $200 but the manual
says that you can only do a reversal for the full amount of the receipt.
Which is correct?
