There is no such thing as an earliest date.  With ROL it is entirely at the=
 schools discretion as to when vacancies are advertised.  In determining a t=
imetable for advertising a vacancy you could consider the following factors:

 

*	Start date of the vacancy.  If you advertise too far in advance you might=
 increase the likelihood of the successful applicant getting a better offer.=
  Advertise too close to the start date and you risk the best candidates bei=
ng already 'taken' 
*	What level is the position and who are you trying to attract.  If you are=
 looking to attract new graduates, advertising in July would be pointless be=
cause students in training are probably not yet thinking about applying.  If=
 it a more senior position, say AP or Leading Teacher, you may want to adver=
tise earlier because if one of your own teachers is successful you would the=
n have a consequential vacancy to advertise. 
*	You could probably get a feel from talking to your own staff when they typ=
ically start looking at jobs for the next school year.  You could also keep=
 an eye on the vacancies being advertised on ROL to gauge what other schools=
 are doing.
