We pay $5 per day. I was under the impression that you were obligated
to pay them the minimum of $5 but we can't afford to pay them extra like
some businesses do. And no, we have never had them fill out a Statement
of Supplier - I just use our school's ABN the same as I do when
reimbursing staff or parents for out of pocket expenses. Maybe I have
been doing it wrong all these years!!!

Hi
I was of the understanding that there was an agreement in place that
Schools do not pay work experience. May seem unfair but I thought that
is what the documentation stated? Only businesses pay students and it
is $5 a day then.

Do you get the kids to fill out a Statement by a Supplier because they
don't have an ABN? I have seen some Schools also process this payment
to the Work Experience kids through payroll.

We usually pay our work experience kids by cheque out of admin and use
GL code 80060 and NP6 for GST.

Good morning all
Could someone please point me in the right direction of how to pay work
experience kids. I have one school work experience and one who is doing
work experience with VCAL.
I haven't come across this before so any help would be appreciated.
