Hi Janet,

 

I have also had some of these but the employee has advised me in advance
to expect the call, so didn't see any problem in giving them
information.  Perhaps we should request employees to let us know if we
are likely to get requests.

Hi Janet

 

We have had a few of these.  I get the financial institution to fax
through a document with the information they require.  I get the
employee to sign the document, stating

that they agree for the information to be passed on to the institution,
and file it in there personnel file.  I then either fax it back to the
company or talk to them which ever is the most convenient at the time.

institutions ringing to do a check on an employee?  How do you confirm
who is calling, and is it ok to provide information in this way?  How do
you handle these calls?
