I have just been quoted $575 inc. GST for the printer, incl. cable, and
$120 for box of 24 thermal rolls.

How expensive are the new receipt machines?  I can't buy one now  - but
it would be good to be able to budget for it next year if possible.

so far. Like you I got sick of waiting.

I am tired of waiting for DE&T to advise recommended suppliers of
Receipt Printers for CASES21.  Can anyone tell me if Vantex TPG Thermal
Printer is the way to go.
