Hi Julie,

You can look up any ABN on www.abr.business.gov.au
<http://www.abr.business.gov.au/> .  As far as your other query, I have
had staff purchase from ebay and they supplied us with a tax invoice
after sale, they were happy with a cheque but was all arrange before the
sale.  If your prin has an AMEX card you could use that.  If you
purchase goods from a parent and it is a private sale, get them to fill
out a Statement by a supplier form which can be obtained from the ATO
site or I could send you one.

Good morning all

 

I have just been posed with a question I am not sure how to answer,  We
have a teacher that is buying some equipment through ebay and is
uncertain whether or not the person/company actually has an ABN. If they
do not how do we make payment and would it be the same if we were
purchasing goods from parents. I've never come across this before.
