[Busmanagers] payments

Good morning all

 

I have just been posed with a question I am not sure how to answer,  We
have a teacher that is buying some equipment through ebay and is
uncertain whether or not the person/company actually has an ABN. If they
do not how do we make payment and would it be the same if we were
purchasing goods from parents. I've never come across this before.
