[Busmanagers] Revenue question

HI

Thank you to all who have given feedback for me to take to the meeting
next week.

Now, I have a question.

When we have raised invoices in Families they are showing as revenue in
the Annual Subprogram variance report. If a charge is part paid and then
we need to do a credit note against that charge because the student is
no longer attending does the revenue in the Annual subprogram variance
report still reflect the full invoice?

I realise that if we do a family payment that the revenue will then
decrease.

Just wondered if others have tested this theory.

Regards

Chris

Hi Di

Could you please let me know which week's DE&T mail bulletin contained
this infomation - I obviously do the same as you and didn't read it.

Hi Chris,

The concern I have is that something that we are bound by with a new
regulation, can come out buried in a DE&T mail bulletin. I try to read
as much of them as I can, but often flag the items that I feel are
important to me and make sure that I read them thoroughly and skim
through the rest. It was also headed as "for all Principals, schools and
school council presidents". No mention of Business Managers. Could you
pass this on as well please.

Regards, Di

Hi Glynis

I have spoken to staff in town and they have said that we do not have a
choice, we are bound by the new regulation. I will take your concern to
the meeting on Wednesday.

Thank you for your input.

Have a great weekend

Hi Chris

We mainly use our local community news, but have had dealings with
Leader Newspapers recently. In this case they have rung us to
participate in an advertising page regarding their community awards and
need to know pretty much that day - it would put us at a disadvantage
for that particular advertising if we have to submit to the broker then
wait until they negotiate with Leader, possibly to the extent of missing
out on the spot on the page. I would like to know more about the
timelines for using the new system, as I thought they were a bit hazy in
the literature, and if they were too drawn out, what happens if we do
not use the new system?

Cheers

HI

I am going to the Business Managers Finance Group Meeting next week, and
as the EMR rep I am asking if anyone has any finance issues that they
wish me to take to the meeting.

Has anyone got any issues with the new advertising guidelines? Have you
used the new system and found the rates cheaper or more expensive.

I am going on Wednesday, so please send me any feedback by late Monday.

Thank you

Chris
