[Busmanagers] Changing Bank Account

I changed over to MECU earlier this year and it has been great.

I am very happy with the service and although I still pay some fees they
are low and the interest takes care of it.

I could not find a checklist but there is some info in Process Guide
about what to do on CASES. The tricky bit is the timing of changing the
High Yield transfer over to the new account and notifying people who may
send you money electronically. I currently still have the old account
running as well due to outstanding cheques etc. You need to think about
how you will deposit etc. I am across the road from NAB, MECU's clearing
bank so business as usual. They were dirty because we left them but
still pay in through them and give us no flexibility. They will charge
us a fee if we bank more than a certain amount each day but we plan
around that. They would not accept EMA cheques into MECU but you can
post them up to MECU

 to be deposited if you have that trouble.

Hi everyone,

 

I would like to change our Official Account from the Bendigo Bank due to
the bank fees etc.

 

So far I like meuc for their total lack of bank fees, competitive
merchant rate, commitment to the BM Association and schools.

 

I already have an investment account with them but what I would like to
know is whether anyone uses them for their Official account.

 

Also, does anyone have some sort of checklist for the procedures
involved with changing Banks.
