Hi Wendy,

 

The Net Operating Surplus/Deficit on the Operating Statement is the
revenue less expenditure which will be everything you have Invoiced for
the period, not necessarily paid or received money for. The
Surplus/Deficit on the Cash Flow Statement is actual cash in and out of
the bank statement.

Hi there,

I am having a REAL seniors moment and hoping someone can enlighten me.
Can someone explain why the Net Operating Surplus/Deficit on the
Operating Statement does not balance with the Surplus/Deficit on the
cash flow statement?   I think it has something to do with accruals.
