I will fax you a document I received from Ian Hollingworth a few years
ago.  I am sure the formulae is the same - only the qualifying period
for when you can take will have changed.

Given that I am retiring at the end of June I have just gone through the
painful process of calculating annual hours for our canteen staff and
gardener - some going back to the early 90's!  In all honesty it was not
too tiresome.  Couldn't have left it to my successor!

Good morning everyone,

 

Has anyone had to track back and calculate long service leave for a
Local Payroll employee?  Is it a matter of working out the average over
the number of years to calculate their entitlements; is there a
calculator anywhere to assist?  I have two staff members that I need to
do this for, sigh, I will be extremely happy once they are centrally
paid.
