Hello Rosemary

 

You need to check all VIT registration cards as to whether they say ‘deemed’ or ‘provisional’ as in the very, very beginning lots of teachers in the department never had police checks.  Any cards that say “Deemed Registration” will need to undergo a CRC in accordance with the requirements.  These are teachers that have probably been on long term leave and are returning or doing CRT work.  I have had this info confirmed to me on 3 occasions from Conduct and Ethics.

Good Morning All,

 

I am rather confused with the Police Check process now.  I notice that on new teacher’s VIT Registration it has the date of their Police Check and I know that we don’t have to do one for them.

With regard to other teachers and CRT’s  do we still have to make sure that they have one every three years or is this the responsibility of VIT now?
