Police checks are a requirement for teacher registration. CRT's and any
other teacher must be VIT Registered to be able to teach nd they should
give you a copy of their VIT Card before they can be employed, so they
would have had a Police Check. I now only do Police checks for SSOs and
volunteers.

Subject: [Busmanagers] POLICE CHECKS
Good Morning All,
I am rather confused with the Police Check process now. I notice that
on new teacher's VIT Registration it has the date of their Police Check
and I know that we don't have to do one for them.
With regard to other teachers and CRT's do we still have to make sure
that they have one every three years or is this the responsibility of
VIT now?
