[Busmanagers] Name change

[Auburn Primary School]

I was of the impression that there name must be changed officially ie
through Deed poll, or through the area where they register births,
deaths marriages etc.  I have refused to change the child's name unless
I get some official documentation regarding name change or a passport or
something with the new name.

 

I don't know if I am officially correct though.

Hi everyone,

We have a parent who is remarrying soon and wants her son to have the
new husband's surname.  I was of the belief that we can only change
surnames on students if we have some sort of documentation - but not
sure what kind of documentation would cover this one.  Marriage
certificate only relates to the new husband, not the child.

New husband doesn't intend to adopt.  Any ideas??
