[Busmanagers] Subsidy for staff accompanying students overseasexcursions

We are involved involved in running a trip to Germany each year. The
cost of the staffing is factored into the total cost charged to students
attending. The program also fundraises to help cover these costs. The
staff only pay personal expenses. I would think it is a fair request to
have trip covered if they are going as a required staff member.

Our Principal accompanied them last year and the school council approved
a contribution to the program for part of his cost as he was helping
with supervision but also had time away from the group visiting other
schools for our benefit here.

I would be interested to know if your school council subsidises staff if
they are accompanying students on overseas trips? We have a trip to the
USA later in the Year and some issues have arisen.
