Chris has answered your question but in short of reading the info, if the staff member in question cannot provide a copy of their CRC and you also can’t find evidence by doing a search on Crimtrac they will have to do another.  I have had many people (Homestay Providers) who try and supply a CRC provided by the Victorian Police – we don’t accept those either.

Good morning everyone,

 

I have an ongoing teacher transferring into our school into an ongoing position. Do they need to have a new police check done and also do they need to have a pre –employment medical assessment completed by a doctor? 

The particular staff member doesn’t think they need to have a new police check as theirs is less than 3 years old. I have asked for a copy and they are unwilling to provide it saying they will give me a stat dec. I’m pretty sure stat decs are only to be used until a police check is received. They don’t want to have a medical assessment either.
