Hi Sharyn,

 

We are a multi campus school with a separate senior campus and are using
ID Attend for our absences.

We have encountered a lot of problems with the accuracy of our data.  It
is only up to date if teachers do the right thing and enter their
absences when they should.

I know some of our teachers enter their absences once a week or even
some of them once a month, I've even had one who entered it before the
class.

My office staff on all campuses hate the program.  An office staff
member on each campus puts in the homegroup absences in the morning and
records the lates and early leavers.

We are using 1st class & I would be interested in hearing from any other
school using this program.  I have been told that when it's up & running
it will be fantastic - but i'm not holding my breath.

 

 We have an sso who does student absences from 8.50 - 11 every morning
which includes late passes, absentee hotline (parents ring in & leave
messages) edit absentee, edit lates, edit rolls, print unexplained
absences, print lates, print daily reviews, check emails, edit sport
days, ring parents for any unexplained absences, chase up rolls which
have not been handed in.

Hello,

 

I am very keen to hear from any schools that are using period by period
attendance recording done by classroom teachers, if you are using this
whether it be CASES 21 or another package I would be interested in
hearing from you.  I am also keen to hear from anyone that has an
attendance officer at their school and just a brief outline of what
their role entails.

 

We are looking at attendance management and want to implement a better
system as soon as possible, so your ideas would be appreciated.
