There is a policy you can take out with JUA Underwriting which covers
damage to cars in school car parks.  This covers the excess up to $1000
staff members have to pay on their insurance policies or it may be for a
sum insured if $5,000 of any one event but JUA will be able to advise
you on this.  This can cover all school council members, principal,
teachers and other staff members and voluntary workers of the school.  I
think we have to deduct $50 of any claim.  The premium here is $373.91
for 21 car spaces.  There is also a policy for the use of cars on school
business and I actually made a claim once where my car was damaged in
the car park of the local bank where I took the daily banking.

Absolutely agree,  check Circular 038/2005 Personal Goods brought to
school at owners' risk which refers to cars parked on schools premises
plus other personal items.

you are starting a president. Parking in any car park is at your own
risk.

We do not pay for any damage to teachers or any other cars damaged in
our car park

One of our teachers had her car damaged whilst parked in the school
parking area.  As we have no insurance policy to cover this sort of
damage we have decided to pay for the repairs.  Can somebody help me
