Thanks for your response Marje,
Having received an email from town is the reason I asked this
question... I've got some fixing up to do and I want to get it right.

There is also a document on CASES21 Finance Website called Assets
Management Policy which should be read (yes in your spare time). Leased
assets should have a value of '0', be in a MISC_XXXX category and the
monthly lease payment should be divided by the number of computers etc
on lease. Otherwise you get an email from town telling you to fix it -
which is more work!!!!

I am in need of a little clarification with Leased Assets.
What is the correct way to record leased assets (computers and monitors)
in respect of the purchase cost and the monthly lease cost.
On reading the notes in the Assets section of the finance guide, the
purchase cost should be '0', and 'the monthly lease payment is entered
(if applicable)'.
As we have leased a classroom full of computers, should I divide the
monthly lease payment and spread it across all the computers and
monitors in the lease?
