Hi Sheree,

A network group of special schools recently had a PD session on DGR's
and to quote from the DGR notes provided, under the heading DGR
Requirements ..... "Must maintain a Gift Fund. Best evidenced by
separate Bank Account, but not specifically required by the ATO".
Provided you record your donation into a separate sub program should be
sufficient as I understand it, especially as it is such a small amount.

:-)

We have been given a donation of $30.49 from a Community Assist Program.
We are set up as a Deductible Gift Recipient with the ATO but to date
have not used it. Technically speaking we should open a separate bank
account as Building/Library Fund and use this solely for donations. At
this point we do not have any other donations to be deposited and the
costs of opening this account for $30.49 just do not seem worthwhile as
this money is quickly going to be eaten up by bank fees.

Does anyone have any advice for me?
