Hi Julie,
I asked the very same question last week, because I did the same. You
put the date of the payroll that the person actually belonged to -
therefore you will put yesterday's date. If you put the next payroll
date, then that person's pay won't appear on your bank rec until that
date rolls over. You can put today's date in the batch header
description just to identify the extra pay, but the date in the "Pay
Date" field should be yesterday.
I was told this by Pam Reed who trained us in C21F payroll.
