Thanks for that bit of info - I only had a parent yesterday asking me
about this, and I knew absolutely nothing about it. I was intending on
tackling centrelink today with some enquires.

Subject: [Busmanagers] Centrepay

Hi,

A parent has introduced us to a new (to me) option for paying their
accounts. It is Centrepay. Centrelink deducts an agreed amount and
credits the school's account before payment of benefits to client. It is
a very easy process for the parent as they fill in one form, setting a
fixed amount. The deduction cuts out as soon as the amount is reached,
and there are no bank fees to the parent. (There are fees to us - with
the money coming into our bank account fortnightly).

I have discovered that for us to benefit we have to register as a school
with Centrepay. The phone number to register is not in the phone book -
it is 1800 044 063.

Just thought other schools may be interested, as it is just another
option we can offer parents.

Regards
