[Busmanagers] Staffing problem

Hi Melanie,

If someone is on Fixed Term contract and being employed somewhere else
at the start of the school year they are entitled to get paid during the
holidays.  It is considered that the service is continuing if they start
somewhere else immediately after the holidays.

I think this situation may be different if the person concerned is on a
fixed term contract, which I believe she is

Hi Noleen

The new school should transfer her in as at 01/01/07. No need to
terminate or fill in a Completion of Service. They would pay her at her
current time fraction until beginning of new school year when it would
increase to 0.8.

I have on staff an integration aide who is working 0.3 at my school and
has been 0.2 at another school since the start of this school year. She
has now been informed that she will be employed at 0.8 at that school
from 30/01/07 and will subsequently not be returning to my school after
the end of the year. I have been acting as the base school during this
year and am unsure what I have to do. 

*	As she'll no longer be employed at 2 schools, am I right in
assuming that the school to which she is going should attach her to the
0.8 position? 
*	As she has been employed at 0.2 and is increasing her time
fraction to 0.8 there, will that school be paying her 0.2 over the full
Xmas vacation period? 
*	Do I put in a termination date for my school? 
*	She's been told to complete a completion of service form by the
other school - is this right? 

 

Any help would be most appreciated.
