Hi Vikki,

 

I had this problem at another school I was relieving at last year.  If
you have a post box where the postie can put in letters without having
to get off his bike (i.e. on the boundary fence) then you don't have to
pay - however if he has to come into your building then you do have to
pay.  However, we were entering into negotiations where we were going to
instal a large post box inside the school premises (where vandals
couldn't set fire to it) and where the van driver could drive right up
to it, and that wasn't going to cost anything.  They were going to get
someone to come and let us know whether they could do this but it was a
long and drawn out procedure and I am not sure whether it was eventually
resolved.  I can find out for you if you wish.

Hi all 

 

Can anyone please help.  We are a school with a post office box where
mail is collected daily.  We would now prefer to have our mail delivered
directly to the school premises.    However on ringing Australia Post
today to enquire about the mail being delivered to the school we were
informed that it would cost us $11 per day.

 

Has anyone else encountered this problem with Australia Post.  We don't
believe that we should pay for delivery.  

Any suggestions would be appreciated
