Hi Trudie
 
We had our production last year soon after going onto CASES21 Finance.
I found it quite confusing.  Anything to do with costumes, material,
props etc. I coded to class materials.  Venue hire and buses for
rehearsals went to camps/excursions.  Trucks for transporting props etc.
was Leased/Hired equipment.  Sale of dvd's was non-profit trading
operations.
 
Don't know whether I was right or wrong - but its what I did.  It would
have been much simpler if there was a Special Events expenditure code
too.

I am interested to hear how other schools code their school productions
in the general ledger - income can go to Special Events, but what about
expenditure such as costumes, tickets, hall hire.
