Vikki & Deirdre
You make a very good point. HRMS and CASES are two entirely different
systems, administered in different parts of the department by different
people. I am one of those responsible for HRMS and am usually the one
that initiates the update process on HRMS. I assumed that as recent
certified agreements included pay rises to apply across 3 or so years
that system administrators running systems that use this information
would schedule their own updates.
A couple of weeks back I suggested to the CASES21 people that they need
to be aware of the December 2006 increase to CRT rates and April 2007
increase to SSO rates, and either include them in CASES21 now or ensure
that are included in time for the effective date of the change. I have
also included a reminder to myself to remind them when the time comes,
though I think the lead time for CASES21 changes is longer than for HRMS
so I might not necessarily meet the deadline.

Vikki you were supposed to put the new rates on yourself last week. Its
obviously too hard for someone in town to do two things at once and do
HRMS and an upgrade disk for C21F at the same time

Is there anyone else out there who is doing their local payroll who
cannot understand why the upgrade for the new salary rates for SSO's has
not been put on the system. I have 25 staff on local payroll (mostly
OSHC staff). I would like to understand why it can be put thru on HRMS
but not onto CASES21F
Your thoughts would be appreciated
