[Busmanagers] SSO sick leave

Good afternoon everyone

 

Many of you will probably have seen my name and some of you will have
met me or been at conferences or meetings where I have presented.  Now
you will occasionally see my name attached to emails posted through this
list as I have now been added to the user list.

 

My role is Assistant Manager, Communication and Support, Corporate
Services Division.  I am responsible for communication to/from users of
the following systems: HRMS, ROL, HRWeb and EMA on system issues eg: how
to use these systems, bugs/errors and suggestions for their improvement.
I am generally unable to directly answer questions on business related
questions and issues (eg: policies and procedures) though I can easily
pass these on to the relevant areas.  Given my HR background (now 28
years) I can sometimes directly answer HR questions though.

 

I have been 'attached' the Gippsland Region SSO chatline for 18 months
which has enabled me to develop a better understanding of issues dealt
with by school administration staff, to improve communication and
information concerning the operation and use of the systems I am
involved with and to pass on information and ideas to other related
areas such as HR Policy and HR Services.  At the same time I have also
been able to answer many questions from SSOs across Gippsland.
Hopefully I will have the same opportunities to learn and contribute by
being attached to the Business Managers' Mailing List.

Can someone tell me if an SSO is on sick leave with a certificate
before, during and after term holidays, are they able to have the rec
days credited to their account and take them at a time agreed upon by
themselves and the prin.?
