[Busmanagers] Excursion Levies

[Glenferrie Primary School]

Glenferrie Primary: We ask teachers to submit their proposed excursions
for the following year. Most are reoccurring (Book Week, Italian Day,
Family Life, Sports Buses, Swimming). We then look at what they have
proposed and set an amount per CSF level. As ours includes swimming the
levy varies from $75 in prep (no swimming) to $215 in grade 5 & 6 (lots
of sports buses/aths/xcount).

We are looking at reviewing how our Excursion Levy/Prepayment operates.
At present, each year level has a different $ amount for their levy,
depending on what is planned for the year.

 

I would be interested in finding out how other schools deal with this,
if they have a set amount across all year levels, and how they ensure
that parents get what they pay for.
