ATO approve deferral of December 2005 Monthly BAS


The Tax Office has approved the deferral of the December 2005 monthly
activity statement for all eligible schools and associated entities. 

The deferred due date for lodgment and payment of the December 2005
monthly activity statement for all schools will be now 21 February 2006.


Provided the December monthly activity statement is lodged and paid (if
required) by 21 February 2006, penalties will not be applied. This
general deferral applies only to pre-school, primary and secondary
schools and their related entities. It does not apply to the post
secondary or university sector.

The ATO lodgement date for the December 2005 Quarterly BAS is 28
February 2006.
