[Busmanagers] Direct Deposit

Hello,

I have employees fill in an invoice which is signed by our AP in charge
of local payroll. I then complete local payroll on CASES. The AP
initials the payroll audit trail. Two signatories sign the vouchers. I
use Quickline to electronically transfer the pay to the employees. Has
taken all the stress out of people wanting their cheques and me getting
them signed.

PS I transfer the money as I'm ready and the vouchers get signed as
soon as the signatories are ready in their own time.

Subject: [Busmanagers] Direct Deposit

To all of you who are currently using direct deposit for local payroll
(regardless of which bank you use) I would be interested to know how you
comply with internal controls. I am keen to get on this system but
currently meeting resistance from one school councillor. On a few
occasions I have had only one signatory present on pay day, and also the
problem of lost/mislaid cheques, not to mention the queue waiting for
their cheque so they can get to the bank, so I would really like to use
direct deposit instead.

Do you use a password system for other signatories or do you simply
process the payroll and then get vouchers signed afterwards? What
happens if you don't have 2 signatories on the day. Would appreciate
feedback from anyone using this system.

Thanks, :-)
