[Busmanagers] Bereavement leave

I think the Guide also provides for Principal discretion in relation to
Bereavement Leave ie. Principal can approve leave for other than
immediate family etc. if he/she is satisfied that the relationship
exists etc.

Bereavement is leave all on its own and for 'immediate family'.
Normally 3 days but extra days with or without pay can be granted by the
prin if they are satisfied that 3 days is inadequate (eg. funeral delay
or extensive travelling involved).

Afternoon all,

 

Hope everyone's had a relaxing break and quiet start to the term. Can
anyone tell me if bereavement leave for teachers comes out of their sick
leave entitlements or is a leave all by itself? Also how long can
someone claim for bereavement leave?
