Hi Marion,

If you call the tax office, they can send you a form which the parent
fills in and the school endorses and mails off to the tax office. It's
only a 2 page form - "Tax file number application or enquiry for a
secondary school student". I just filled one in for my 15 year old
daughter - not sure whether they'd accept one from a primary school
though! I also had a problem - the tax office said the school wasn't
registered to complete this application and they had to get registration
so the form could be processed. Bit crazy considering my 3 older
children all filled the same form in from the same school. Hope this
helps though.

I had exactly the same thing - I just added the Bank Interest from the
Internet Statement and made a note on the Statement from the bank which
I filed.

I have another query - I have had a parent ring on advice from his
accountant who stated that we could give him some paperwork so that he
could get a tax file no. for his children.  I vaguely remember doing
something when my children turned 15 (now 28 & 25 so a while ago!!!)   I
have never had this question asked before - can anybody answer this
query for me?

Good Morning All,

I have received Bank Statement this morning - closing on 25th November
but have already completed my Bank Rec using internet statement closing
on 30th November.  

Has anyone else had this experience/spoken to bank, I don't think I've
got the strength to ring the bank at this time of the year!!
