[Busmanagers] School on Line Ordering system

Hi Norma,


We use SOS and love it.  It works well for us as teachers enter the
order on their lap tops, they then email their co-ordinator with the
requisition number.  The co-ordinator then goes in to approve it.  It
then goes to the accounts payable SSO who  forwards them on to the Prin
or AP for their approval.  Once approved our SSO then faxes and
distributes the orders.

 

We love it but the teachers who don't use it very often grumble and we
need to help them.  Because we are a large school it has worked well for
us as we can enter orders immediately without having to chase the order
book and wait for them to be signed.

 

The program does have its faults and we have only had one upgrade which
was not very significant, but all in all it works well for us.

Can anyone give me any information on a school ordering online system -
we are looking at putting it in - is it worthwhile and can it be linked
with Cases or do we still do the manual input of orders.  We hear that
there may be two companies who deal with this system.
