[Busmanagers] Public liability insurance

Hi Linda

 

We have taken out public liability insurance with Jardine Lloyd
Thompson. We then recoup this amount over the year by charging each
group that hires our venue that doesn't have their own PL insurance a
set amount.

 

This has worked well for us for many years.

Hi again,

I have a parent wanting to hire our hall for a 21st birthday party that
is having trouble getting public liability insurance. Does anyone know a
company that provides it?

My second question is whether most schools make hirers get their own
insurance, or whether they take out a 'hirers' insurance scheme which is
apparently available to schools - which covers all hirers that may use
the facility during the year, and then the school recoups the cost of
the insurance with the hire charge.
