Dear Lorraine and others. If i am not mistaken Melbourne Uni will be
changing their degree structure in 2008 thus making 2007 the last year where
students can specialise in Agriculture from first year. In 2008 students
will undertake a general two year program and then spend another 3 years
specialising in Agriculture. If this is not correct let me know. Regards
Andrew Cosby.

atLa Trobe

In Monday's Education Age (28 August, page 13) it was reported that La Trobe
University is offering agricultural science students no charge on their
first year of study. This offer takes advantage of the Federal Government's
flexible approach to HECS and is aimed at attracting students into taking
agricultural science degrees.
