<br>Trade Display Brochure<br>The Trade Display Brochure is now on the website (under Trade<br>Exhibition) for downloading. It contains all the exhibition details,<br>satchel insert information, other sponsorship opportunities and a<br>
booking form.<br><br>Keynote Speakers<br>ACEC'08 is pleased to announce the third keynote speaker is Dr<br>Matthew Rimmer. The other keynote speakers are Keith Krueger (CEO of<br>COSN - <a href="http://www.cosn.org" target="_blank">www.cosn.org</a>) and Liz Murphy<br>
(<a href="http://researchandmedia.ning.com/profile/lmurphy" target="_blank">http://researchandmedia.ning.com/profile/lmurphy</a>).<br><br>Dr Rimmer is a senior lecturer and the director of Higher Degree<br>Research at the ANU College of Law<br>
(<a href="http://law.anu.edu.au/scripts/StaffDetails.asp?StaffID=238" target="_blank">http://law.anu.edu.au/scripts/StaffDetails.asp?StaffID=238</a>), and an<br>associate director of the Australian Centre for Intellectual Property<br>
in Agriculture (ACIPA). He is a member of the Copyright and<br>Intellectual Property Advisory Group of the Australian Library and<br>Information Association, and a director of the Australian Digital<br>Alliance. He is also a regular media commentator on intellectual<br>
property.<br><br>Conference Papers<br>The closing date for the submission of abstracts for refereed papers<br>has now passed. In excess of 80 high quality abstracts have been<br>received and will undergo the refereeing process. Proposals for other<br>
papers (non-refereed papers, workshops, panels and symposia) can<br>still be submitted up until February 29. Details are in the<br>Presenter's Area of the conference website - <a href="http://www.acec2008.info" target="_blank">www.acec2008.info</a><br>
<br>Registration Brochure<br>The finishing touches are happening with an expected release date<br>early February. Also details of the pre-conference workshops will be<br>released at this time.<br><br>Testing and Tagging of Electrical Equipment<br>
The National Convention Centre have advised that all portable<br>appliances (including laptops, data projectors, etc) brought into the<br>conference venue must have been tested and tagged as per Australian<br>Standard AS/NZS 3760:2003 (<a href="http://www.electricaltagging.info" target="_blank">www.electricaltagging.info</a>).<br>
