It would be interesting to compare the graphs the students come up with and as a class decide which ones are the most effective and why.<br>

I agree with Margaret that it is developing the critical thinking skills that is the challenge. When presented with raw data, students will happily produce column charts until the cows come home without thinking about whether it is the best way to represent

Did it today with my new group of year 11's (I used bags of snakes, jubes, jelly beans and jelly beans due to various allergies), they loved it - I wouldn't let them eat it until they at least got to the report. I've never seen a group work so productively!<br>
