<P style="LINE-HEIGHT: 1.2em"><FONT color=#000000>Thanks to a Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies Research Grant we are able to have Barbara Ericsson ( Georgia Tech, USA) lead this workshop which will introduce you to creating mobile apps using App Inventor. App Inventor is similar to Scratch in that you do drag and drop programming. App Inventor was originally created by Google for Android phones, but will be supported by MIT in the future (Jan 2012).<SPAN class=Apple-converted-space> </SPAN><BR><BR>After completing this workshop teachers will be able to:</FONT></P>

<LI><FONT color=#000000>Create apps that use GUI elements such as buttons, labels, image sprites, and timers </FONT>

<LI><FONT color=#000000>Create apps that use lists </FONT>
<LI><FONT color=#000000>Know where to go for more tutorials and resources</FONT></LI></UL>
