Federal Government though DEEWR is funding professional development
opportunities for teachers in rural and regional Australia. [These are not

<p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'>They
are targeted at Primary and Post Primary teachers of Mathematics, History,
English and the Sciences who wish to integrate ICT more fully into there
teaching<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'>As
distance is always a consideration for teachers in rural and regional schools,
this project has a large online component. While teachers are bought
together for a one day workshop, the rest will build on online support of the
workshop convenors and the school teams throughout Victoria [and Australia]<o:p></o:p></p>
