<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:10.0pt'>As I outlined on
the phone, I am the Project Manager in the VCAA Exams Unit who looks after VET
Information Technology. We are currently setting up the panels to set and vet
(check) the 2011 examinations. Applications for these positions close this
weekend (25<sup>th</sup> July). Panel members are responsible, as a team, for
writing the examination. This involves a series of meetings with the rest of
the panel. The first draft of the examinations is due around February; this is
followed by a series of checking processes, which can also involve the panel,
who are required to respond to the vetting process. There is a payment made to
exam panel members.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:10.0pt'>Panel members must
not be teaching the subject in the year they write the exam, nor have any close
relationships (eg son/daughter, niece/nephew) with anybody doing that subject.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
